
Arts and Culture Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to spearhead the delivery of arts and cultural programs that drive community engagement and economic growth.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of inspiring and leading multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. They will be responsible for developing and implementing bold, inclusive, and innovative cultural programming that enhances the reputation of the organization and contributes to its overall mission.
- Foster a high-performing team culture, promoting creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to deliver impactful arts and cultural programs that meet the needs of diverse stakeholders.
- Build and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders, including artists, schools, and creative industries, to advance the organization's goals and objectives.
- Secure external funding through grants, philanthropy, and other sources, ensuring the sustainability of the organization's programs and services.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, using data and insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Tertiary qualifications in Arts Administration, Cultural Management, Event Management, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in delivering large-scale arts and cultural programs, with a strong track record of success in complex environments.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Solid financial management skills, including budgeting and forecasting, with the ability to manage resources effectively and make informed decisions.
- A thorough understanding of relevant legislative frameworks and compliance requirements, with the ability to ensure that programs and services are delivered in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- To lead the development and implementation of arts and cultural strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals.
- To manage and deliver arts and cultural programs, ensuring that they are well-planned, resourced, and executed to meet the needs of diverse stakeholders.
- To build and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders, including artists, schools, and creative industries, to advance the organization's goals and objectives.
