Job Description

Jr. Project Engineers collaborate with the project team and manager to deliver heavy civil construction projects on time, budget, and quality.

  • The successful candidate will manage project schedules, coordinate design changes, and ensure timely material delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee project timelines, including managing submittals, approvals, and updates.
  2. Work closely with field operations, vendors, and subcontractors to drive project success.
  3. Review project requirements daily, making adjustments as necessary.
  4. Coordinate with the production team to track contract pay items.
  5. Compile bids and estimates from subcontractors, distribute contract documents for management review.
  6. Collaborate directly with the Project Management team.
  7. Ensure safety policies are followed and enforced at all times.
  8. Assist in project setup and closeout activities.
  9. Process and track all Submittals & RFIs, including logs.
  10. Develop and maintain the Project CPM Schedule with input from Project Management and Field Operations.
  11. Provide accurate quantities from the field for billing, cost control, projections, and cost to complete support.
  12. Review labor and equipment reports with field personnel related to budget management.
  13. Assist in scheduling, tracking, and coordinating subcontractors and permanent materials deliveries.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in construction project management applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented office and field environment.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
