Job Summary:

The Staff Development Specialist plays a vital role in driving organizational success by engaging and developing staff to align with business goals and enhance resident/client experience.

This position works closely with Service Managers and the People and Culture Team to implement process and procedure improvements, leveraging contemporary Human Resources principles and initiatives to drive best practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with managers and staff to foster a positive culture at all levels.
  • Build partnerships with service delivery teams to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Provide expert advice and direction on workforce development, business improvement, and succession planning strategies.
  • Support and mediate complex performance management and employee relations issues to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Interpret enterprise bargaining agreements and Awards to inform decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Strong consulting and influencing skills to drive change and improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with managers and staff at all levels.
  • Excellent presentation and coaching skills to engage and develop staff.
  • Experience in providing guidance on organizational change processes and workforce development strategies.
  • Ability to interpret and apply HR policies and procedures to inform decision-making.
