As a skilled Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment in the food industry. This exciting opportunity involves regional travel throughout Victoria and occasional interstate or international travel.

Job Overview

This is an excellent chance to work with automated packaging and processing equipment. Your duties will include:

  • Maintenance servicing and breakdown support of electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Installation of new machinery and commissioning to customer requirements
  • Carrying out repairs and modifications of existing machines
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform service work as specified in existing service contracts
  • Install and commission new machinery to customer requirements
  • Carry out maintenance and repairs of electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Execute modifications and upgrades of existing machines

You will be working closely with sales and technical teams through effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements
  • Qualified Electrician with mechanical aptitude or a mechanical trade + restricted electrical license
  • Experience in electrical troubleshooting skills (extra low voltage 24vdc)
  • Experience with motor and drive technologies (servo motors) and PLC control technology (not coding)
  • Strong computer knowledge, network structure, ethernet, ethercat & serial communication protocols
  • Experience in food industry with packaging and processing equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with methodical approach to solving technical issues
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals & drawings
  • Intermediate knowledge in MS Office with comfort using various Apps/software on associated devices
  • Driver's license
