About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary nursing, with experience in referral or specialist practices. You will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, collaborating with veterinarians and specialists to deliver integrated care, and educating pet owners on their pets' conditions and treatment options.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will make a real difference in the lives of pets and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across Neurology, Internal Medicine, and Oncology departments, ensuring the highest standards of care and patient safety.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with veterinarians and specialists to deliver integrated, multidisciplinary care, and educate pet owners on their pets' conditions and treatment options.
- Teaching and Mentoring: Actively engage in the training and development of DVM students during their rotations, sharing knowledge and fostering their practical skills.
- Certification: Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) is essential.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a referral or specialist veterinary practice, with experience in Neurology, Internal Medicine, or Oncology preferred.
- Skills: Strong technical nursing skills, including venipuncture, catheter placement, anaesthesia monitoring, and patient care.
- Competitive Remuneration Package: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
