Substation Expert

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Professional to join our team, where they will be responsible for reviewing substation designs with a focus on busbar systems and high-voltage equipment. The successful candidate will have proven experience in primary substation engineering with a strong focus on HV systems (ideally 132kV and above) and in-depth knowledge of busbar design, layouts, and calculations.
The ideal candidate will oversee quality assurance processes, manage and support production activities, ensuring smooth project delivery. They will also act as the technical point of contact, providing engineering expertise across projects.
Regional or remote project experience will be highly regarded. We require the following skills and qualifications:
- Proven experience in primary substation engineering with a strong focus on HV systems (ideally 132kV and above)
- In-depth knowledge of busbar design, layouts, and calculations
- Strong understanding of substation standards, practices, and compliance requirements in Australia
- Background in quality assurance and production/project oversight within a technical environment
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline and have a mid-senior level of seniority.
