**Indigenous Language Instructor Opportunity**

The Superior North Catholic District School Board is seeking a qualified Indigenous Language Instructor to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Implement a shared vision consistent with the principles of Catholic Education, integrating the Catholic Graduate Expectations and Seven Grandfather teachings within the curriculum.
  • Teach Indigenous language classes, preferably in Ojibwe.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse student needs.

The ideal candidate will be a current member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers, possessing a strong background in Primary/Junior/Intermediate qualifications and experience as an Indigenous Language Instructor's Program graduate.

Requirements
  • Current membership in the Ontario College of Teachers.
  • Indigenous Language Instructor's Program certification.
  • Fluency in Ojibwe (oral and written).
  • Ability to undergo a successful vulnerable sector check.
  • Successful completion of all Safety training courses.
