About the Role

The Department for Education is seeking an experienced professional to lead targeted elements of its Aboriginal Education Strategy 2019 to 2029 and Closing the Gap targets.

This is a highly regarded education, cultural and sporting program for Aboriginal students with academies operating in high schools across South Australia.

The successful applicant will work in collaboration with the Aboriginal Pathways directorate, SAASTA Manager, Curriculum Coordinator Aboriginal Pathways, and key stakeholders to ensure that staff working in Academy schools are supported to access high quality learning resources.

Key responsibilities include developing programs that maximise student learning outcomes in the senior years and ensuring post-school transition.

The role offers opportunities for career advancement and growth within the Department for Education.

We offer a range of benefits including superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, applicants must possess relevant graduate qualifications and have knowledge, connectivity and experience working with Aboriginal communities and networks across South Australia and broadly.
