
Network Systems Specialist

This is a permanent opportunity for a motivated Computer Systems Technician to join our team.
In this role, you will deliver high-quality IT support and issue resolution across schools and the office, ensuring services meet agreed performance standards.
Regular travel to schools in the surrounding areas including Charters Towers, Burdekin, Hinchinbrook, and the Whitsundays will be required.
Your Key Responsibilities- Participate in and be a member of an IT support service team ensuring that the team provides a high level of service and issue resolution in line with agreed performance standards.
- Ensure that agreed levels of service are maintained and contribute to the ongoing development of standardised processes required for the provision of IT support.
- Install and maintain systemic management and educational delivery systems in accordance with departmental information standards and policies.
- Provide expert IT advice and support on the selection, procurement and installation of new hardware and software, as well as the enhancement of existing systems.
- Advise, communicate, apply and monitor the implementation of departmental information standards and policies.
- Participate in service level and work practice reviews.
- Maintain currency of technical proficiency and skills.
A detailed working knowledge of Windows 2016 server operating systems will be highly regarded, along with a high level of technical knowledge of server hardware and configuration, and network switches.
A good understanding of end user device and printer support, as well as knowledge of Windows, iPadOS, and macOS, will also be beneficial.
You must hold a valid driver's licence due to travel between base location and schools on a regular basis, and hold a Diploma of Information Technology or equivalent based on ACS skills assessment.
