This role is a key position within our organization, responsible for leading the configuration management process.

Job Description

The Configuration Management Lead will be responsible for coordinating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and strategic outlook. They will manage the day-to-day activities of the CM process, including establishing priorities and work tasks. The ideal candidate will provide strategic planning to achieve program outcomes and be responsible for continuous improvement of CM processes, tools, methods, and techniques.

Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate with CM Manager and other departments to identify opportunities for improvement and strategic outlook.
  2. Manage the day-to-day activities of the CM process, including the establishment of priorities and work tasks.
  3. Provide strategic planning to achieve program outcomes.
  4. Responsible for continuous improvement of CM processes, tools, methods, and techniques.
  5. Facilitate Configuration Management Audits.
  6. Responsible for controlling change against the approved baseline and embody changes, as approved.
  7. Ensure that all information within the CM database is accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  1. 5 years' experience in a configuration management role, preferably with Defence experience.
  2. Formal Configuration Management training.
  3. Experience with use and application of Product Lifecycle Management Tool.
  4. Knowledge of Configuration Management principles, plans, procedures, and processes.
  5. Strong management skills and team building capability.
  6. Ability to distribute Configuration Management knowledge to wider audience.
