Job Title: A06 Senior Human Resources Business Partner

We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR professional to join our team as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner. This role requires exceptional expertise in employee relations, industrial legislation, and workforce planning.

This is a unique opportunity to work with our organization, providing expert advice and services to business areas across the public sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strong partnerships, providing high-level advice, and interpreting complex legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders to understand operational needs and deliver tailored HR solutions.
  • Providing expert advice on employee relations, case management, performance issues, workforce planning, and change management.
  • Interpreting and applying relevant legislation, directives, and policies to inform business decisions.
  • Managing strategic people projects, reviewing HR policies, and contributing to leadership development initiatives.
  • Representing the organization in external forums and preparing documentation for commissions and tribunals.
  • Supporting workforce planning efforts, contributing to succession initiatives, and promoting an inclusive workplace culture.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in employment and industrial relations within the public sector.
  • Experience in managing complex HR matters with sound judgment and discretion.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across levels.
  • Knowledge of workforce data and its application to HR strategy.
  • A commitment to ethical practice, cultural capability, and staff wellbeing.
