Senior Clinical Coder Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Senior Clinical Coder to join our team at Metro South Health. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to contribute their expertise in clinical coding to ensure accurate data capture and effective healthcare services.

In this role, you will be responsible for participating in the coder-clinician liaison program, verifying clinical documentation for coding purposes, and contributing high-level clinical coding skills and knowledge across various specialties in a tertiary setting.

You will also actively participate in departmental auditing processes to ensure accurate coding and contribute to the development of coding standards and guidelines.

This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong understanding of clinical coding principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You will also need to be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
