This initiative focuses on individuals removed from the Northern Territory, the Australian Capital Territory, and the Jervis Bay Territory during Commonwealth administration.
As a Customer Service Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Providing a service to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, requiring strong engagement skills and the ability to communicate sensitively and respectfully.
- Working within a multi-disciplinary team, being flexible, adaptable, and comfortable with a changing working environment.
- Building relationships with customers, incorporating the key principles of trauma-Informed care: safety, empowerment, connection, choice, and control.
- Maintaining comprehensive and detailed case management records with high-level attention to detail, ensuring application completeness, tracking milestones, and reporting on progress.
- Managing competing priorities and monitoring service delivery, taking personal responsibility for accurate completion of work and quality requirements.
What's on Offer
The successful candidate will be offered an APS5 equivalent hourly rate contract, notionally for 12 months. This position is based in Woden, ACT.
As this role is with the Federal Government, only Australian citizens will be considered for this vacancy. A Baseline Security Clearance and a National Police Check (within the last 6 months) are preferred, or willingness to obtain.
