Mechanical Designer Position

As a skilled mechanical designer, you will be responsible for creating innovative designs and drawings for material handling / capital equipment. Your primary objective is to ensure these designs meet industry standards and customer requirements.

Job Responsibilities
  • Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of bulk material handling equipment using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine designs based on customer specifications and project requirements.
  • Conduct thorough design reviews to guarantee accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing and production teams during the fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Maintain accurate design documentation, including design changes, revisions, and updates, using Solid Edge or Vault software.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional design/drafting experience within the material handling / capital equipment sector.
  • Proficient in 3D modeling using Autodesk Inventor and 2D drafting using AutoCAD.
  • Exposure to Solid Edge or Vault software (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
