As a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation professional, you will be empowered to contribute to the development of innovative solutions that power progress.

This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, utilizing your expertise to design and implement electrical and instrumentation systems that ensure safe, accessible, operable, and maintainable equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards throughout project execution.
  • Protect company information in all new projects and dealings with contractors and subcontractors.
  • Develop and convey a unique safety culture for our plant, collaborating with vendors and contractors to achieve zero harm.
  • Collaborate with other drafting disciplines on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Contribute to the development and review of new electrical and instrumentation projects, ensuring compliance and safety in design, in line with established criteria.
  • Design innovative electrical and instrumentation layouts, incorporating preliminary additions and changes as required by each new project.
  • Prepare electrical and instrumentation cable blocks, hook-ups, single-line diagrams, and termination and installation drawings of smaller projects under the direction of our engineering team.
  • Develop and review vendor package interface drawings.
  • Lead and participate in design reviews and HAZOPs as required.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to achieve project goals.
  • Maintain electrical and instrumentation drawing registers and lists.
  • Review and respond to technical queries raised on projects and site masters.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical and instrumentation design and layout criteria, guaranteeing safe design, accessibility, operability, and maintainability of proposed equipment.
  • Review and update design procedures, incorporating lessons learned as agreed with EPCM, updating where required, adhering to established procedures and industry best practice within the electrical and instrumentation field.
  • Support project management teams with material and updates for presentation on designs and progress reporting associated with electrical and instrumentation.
  • Participate in value engineering, constructability, and risk reviews, supporting maintenance of the risks and opportunities register within the electrical and instrumentation team.
  • Identify any project deficiencies for project team correction within the electrical and instrumentation field.
  • Support punch listing, inspection, and handover activities for all project facilities during the final stage of construction.
  • Assist operations teams with pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures as required.
