Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Contract Financial Professional to join our team on a contract basis in Melbourne.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have Netsuite experience and must have worked in a similar transactional finance role. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Accurately processing invoices, purchase orders, and receipts to ensure all records are meticulously maintained
  • Performing routine bank reconciliations
  • Preparing weekly and occasional ad-hoc payments to suppliers
  • Reconciling supplier statements to keep accounts up-to-date
  • Maintaining up-to-date records in the accounting ERP for all suppliers, debtors, and other stakeholders
  • Working collaboratively with the team to ensure finance policies and compliance standards are consistently upheld
  • Reporting any irregular transactions to your manager for further investigation
  • Participating in initiatives aimed at improving finance processes and efficiencies
  • Assisting with filing and general administrative duties as required
  • Providing backup support to the Receptionist, including answering calls and welcoming visitors
Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Data entry with high accuracy and speed
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • NetSuite experience is mandatory
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Business Management (preferred but not essential)
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in AP/AR and administrative support
  • Be immediately available to start or join the business within one week's notice
