This pivotal position drives statewide initiatives to safeguard clients' privacy, ensuring seamless information sharing for enhanced Victorian healthcare.
About the Role
We seek an accomplished professional to lead our Privacy Team in a critical support role. The successful candidate will provide expert technical policy and legal advice to ministers, secretaries, and relevant administrative offices on a range of privacy and information sharing matters.
The key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing strategic departmental and statewide projects related to privacy and information sharing;
- Oversight of privacy breaches across the department, identification of emerging risks, and provision of privacy-specific training to staff;
- Collaborating with other agencies to proactively manage and mitigate privacy risks while adhering to public sector values, policies, and legislative requirements.
Key Selection Criteria
- Expert knowledge in driving and delivering statewide projects;
- Leadership, guidance, and development of staff in specialist areas;
- Continuous improvement in practice, policies, and legislation related to privacy and information sharing functions across and external to the department; and
- Support for clients and maintenance of positive relationships through active stakeholder engagement.
