Lead Privacy Strategist

The Department of Health is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Privacy Lead to spearhead the protection of client privacy and inform public health policy.
This pivotal role involves leading the Privacy Team in providing expert technical policy and legal advice to government stakeholders, including Ministers, the Secretary, and relevant Administrative Offices. The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the management of privacy breaches, identifying emerging privacy-related risks, and delivering statewide projects that drive continuous improvement in practice and policies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing strategies for driving statewide projects;
- Leading, guiding, and developing staff in this specialist area to enhance expertise and efficiency;
- Developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives related to privacy and information sharing functions across and external to the department;
- Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders through active collaboration.
