Job Title: Breakfast Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Breakfast Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef and Executive Chef in the management of food preparation, production, and implementation of menus that showcase our luxury hotel's commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily food service and on-site kitchen operations to ensure seamless execution of menu items and exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and Executive Chef to develop and implement new menus and concepts that align with Sofitel's brand standards and culinary excellence.
  • Oversee food preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques to maintain high-quality standards and consistency.
  • Work closely with the Restaurant Manager and Supervisors to meet food and beverage operational objectives and ensure a positive guest experience.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years' experience as a Sous Chef in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant environment.
  • Strong culinary skills, creativity, and knowledge of current food trends.
  • Food Handler Certificate and Trade Certification Level 3 (Level 4 preferred).
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on employee relations and customer satisfaction.
