About Your Role

UGL's Manufacturing and Maintenance – Transport business is seeking a dynamic HSE Advisor to support site operational teams with the effective implementation of Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), Rail Safety, Workers' Compensation & Injury Management, and Environmental processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and delivering improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety and environmental performance.
  • Advising and coaching operational managers, supervisors, and workers to achieve compliance and best practices in WHS, Workers' Compensation & Injury Management, Rail Safety, and Environmental matters.
  • Providing HSE assurance and due diligence support, including conducting internal audits and facilitating external audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Leading or reviewing incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in Workplace Safety and Health (Diploma or higher preferred).
  • Experience managing regulatory stakeholder relationships and developing effective communication strategies.
  • Incident investigation training (ICAM preferred).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills to build effective work relationships across all levels.
  • Lead Auditor qualifications in AS4801 or equivalent.
