About the Role:
We are seeking skilled HSE Strategic Partners to collaborate with our operational teams, delivering outstanding health, safety, and environmental solutions aligned with our strategic objectives. Opportunities are available for individuals who are passionate about contributing to a safer work environment.
In this role, you will establish strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, acting as their main contact for implementing company policies, programs, and initiatives aimed at enhancing health and safety risk management and promoting visible safety leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate a workplace culture focused on health, safety, and environment characterized by proactive behaviors, accountability, and leadership.
- Take charge of coordinating and executing various HSE projects and initiatives within designated business units.
- Provide expert advice, coaching, and support to management and staff regarding HSE policies and processes in a timely manner.
- Assist in interpreting and applying HSE legislation while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Mentor and influence leaders to promote a resilient safety culture.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to navigate complex situations with tact, a collaborative mindset, and excellent communication skills. Your proactive approach to problem-solving and commitment to maintaining high professional standards will be essential.
Experience in the electrical sector or civil works on blue-collar sites will be advantageous for effectively managing customer expectations and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in large, high-risk industrial environments, preferably within utilities or infrastructure sectors.
- Expertise in implementing risk-based HSE systems and assurance programs, along with coaching and empowering teams.
- Strong ability to engage and influence key stakeholders to foster a mature safety culture.
- Tertiary or Diploma-level qualifications in Health & Safety or related fields are preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian HSE legislative frameworks, including incident investigation methodologies.
- ICAM (Incident Cause Analysis Method) training or certifications.
- Exceptional skills in risk management, including familiarity with AS4801 standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for effective HSE reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
