The Role

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Specialist to join our team, working in a community-based setting to provide high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties. As an Embedded AOD Clinician, you will play a critical role in implementing therapeutic interventions aimed at reducing substance-related harm and improving mental and physical health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including risk assessments, to inform treatment planning and delivery
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based interventions and collaborative care approaches
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication
  • Provide education and support to consumers, families, and carers to promote recovery and well-being

Requirements

  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
  • Post-graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in acute mental health settings
  • Current Victorian Driver's License
