About the RoleThis position is ideal for experienced logistics or supply chain leaders looking to take on new challenges with a global leader in the manufacturing industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and engaging a large diverse workforce, ensuring all team members are working safely and are trained and competent in their tasks.
- Maintain control of all aspects of the department's operations from product receipt to despatch.
- Ensure that all goods are handled in accordance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Provide adequate staff, facilities, and equipment to carry out daily requirements.
- Review external and internal audit reports and ensure corrective action is taken to prevent non-conformities from recurring.
- Ensure compliance with AQIS and Food Safety and Quality Assurance procedures and processes.
- Prior experience in a similar leadership role within a cold store/distribution environment.
- Strong business acumen and financial management knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to be a values-based leader, able to lead a large and diverse workforce.
- Ability to identify cause-and-effect relationships and respond calmly in difficult situations.
