Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Management Systems Leader to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to oversee the development and implementation of complex traffic management systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the project management of traffic management systems, technologies, applications, specifications, and analysis to support effective leadership.
  • Provide expert guidance and advice on ITS, traffic engineering, and signal design suitability and options.
  • Prepare and deliver professional and technical advice on road network signalised and un-signalised intersections.
  • Participate in monitoring and measurement of road network operational performance and user safety.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Demonstrated experience in traffic engineering, including analytical modelling, Intelligent Transport Systems, and traffic management systems and standards.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills to foster continuous improvement in system efficiency.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communications skills to articulate complex problems and solutions.
  • Ability to build relationships with partners and stakeholders to promote departmental and operational goals.
  • Creates an environment that inspires novel solutions with measurable value for customers.
Mandatory Qualifications and Conditions:
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree from a Washington Accord accredited institution.
  • Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
  • C class driver's licence.
