Job Title: APS 4 Policy Officer

A well-established government agency is seeking an experienced APS 4 Policy Officer to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the Procurement Policy function, you will be responsible for performing and achieving moderately complex procurement policy work.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making processes, and Defence mission and policy requirements. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Quality assurance of Defence and Australian Signals Directorate contracts prior to publication on AusTender;
  • Provide helpdesk support and work with customers to ensure information meets reporting guidelines;
  • Assist with education of Defence staff on reporting requirements and obligations;
  • Maintain multiple focuses on business as usual activities and various projects.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;

  • Ability to positively represent Defence at various forums.
