Perioperative Services Manager

We are seeking an experienced Perioperative Nurse to take on the role of Perioperative Services Manager in our fast-paced, high-performing healthcare unit.

This is a challenging opportunity for a dedicated and proactive manager to support both our team and department. The successful candidate will be a strong, confident leader who can work independently and collaboratively to ensure the seamless delivery of perioperative services while effectively managing patients and staff.

As Perioperative Services Manager, you will be responsible for the management of 15 busy operating theatres for both elective and emergency procedures. You will work closely with a team of managers and neighboring unit leaders to ensure the smooth running of the complex.

You will work with all theatre stakeholders to achieve excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage 15 busy operating theatres for both elective and emergency procedures
  • Work closely with a team of managers and neighboring unit leaders to ensure the smooth running of the complex
  • Ensure the seamless delivery of perioperative services while effectively managing patients and staff
  • Work with all theatre stakeholders to achieve excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements
Requirements:
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Extensive current clinical practice in perioperative role
  • Desirable previous perioperative services management experience
  • Ability to build rapport with medical officers and staff
  • Commitment to improvement and excellence in the delivery of outcomes
  • OHS responsibility and leadership in risk minimisation
  • Ongoing activity analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage resources and experience in implementing sustainable change
