Research Fellow Position

The Faculty of Health at Deakin University is seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow to join the Centre for Research Excellence in Early Prevention of Obesity in Childhood (EPOCH Translate). This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging researcher to contribute to high-quality research with a real-world impact.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research relevant to EPOCH Translate Stream 3: Scale up and sustained delivery of effective interventions.
- Contribute to other activities within the EPOCH CRE including Early-Mid Career Researcher capacity building activities.
- Apply for independent research funding to commence at the completion of this position.
- Provide an excellent contribution to the Faculty's research programs.
- Exhibit and/or publish high-quality research in journals of high repute.
- Contribute to the achievement of Deakin's strategic goals in research, engagement, and innovation.
- Contribute to the research achievement of the Faculty.
- Undertake professional and administrative roles and responsibilities that enhance the discipline and Deakin.
- Develop relationships with research, community, industry, and government for enhanced research outcomes.
- PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience.
- Strong research track record relative to opportunity including publications.
- Skills and experience using mixed methods research.
- Ability to work independently and contribute to the broader research team.
- Capacity to contribute to leadership of research and administration, including leadership of more junior staff and students.
- Success in obtaining external research funding.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and collaboration with research, practice, and policy partners (desirable).
- Understanding of implementation science research methodologies (desirable).
