Job Title

The Disability Support Worker is accountable for providing tailored services to individuals with disabilities by adopting a person-centred framework.

This role involves:

  • Assisting participants in developing options and making informed decisions
  • Ensuring participant documentation and records are up-to-date
  • Communicating with support workers and line managers regarding cultural and linguistic needs
  • Implementing individual plans aligned with participant goals, skill development, and independence
  • Maintaining participants' living spaces in a clean, hygienic, and comfortable condition
  • Administering medication under the guidance of senior staff members or line managers
  • Meeting participants' personal care needs as outlined in their individual plans
  • Supporting participants' education and development to enhance independence in personal care
  • Respecting participants' privacy at all times
  • Participating in work according to rosters
