About the Role
We are currently seeking highly motivated Operators to join our Newman Operations team in Western Australia. As an Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, and loaders, to extract and transport iron ore from our mines. You will work closely with our production team to ensure safe and efficient operations, and contribute to our goal of delivering high-quality products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities

- Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions to ensure compliance with BHP's safety policies and procedures.
About You
We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in heavy equipment operation.
- Strong knowledge of mining operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Flexibility to work in a variety of weather conditions and environments.
- Valid C Class Driver's license.
Location
Newman is a small town in Western Australia, located in the Pilbara region. The town has a range of amenities, including shops, restaurants, and sporting facilities. Our operations are located approximately 5-10 kilometers out of town, and we offer a range of accommodation options for our employees.
