Job Overview
We have a rare opportunity for a talented engineer to join our innovative engineering team in Perth.
This is a fantastic chance to contribute to the advancement of electric ROVs, Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs), vision systems, and related tooling.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing tooling for Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) and subsea equipment.
In addition to technical skills, we are looking for someone who can lead junior and graduate engineers as required.
The role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and software engineering disciplines, including hydraulics, electronics, and electrical systems.
A solid grasp of quality management systems and processes is also essential.
Candidates should have advanced computer skills, including CAD software, programming, machine learning, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Subsea design experience is an advantage but not necessary.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop tooling for Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) and subsea equipment.
- Contribute to the advancement of electric ROVs, Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs), vision systems, and related tooling.
- Review and verify technical outputs, including drawings, schematics, programming, and system designs.
- Lead junior and graduate engineers as required.
- Support the Lead Design Engineer with day-to-day engineering tasks and project coordination.
- Strong proficiency in mechanical and software engineering disciplines.
- Solid understanding of hydraulics, electronics, and electrical systems.
- Strong experience with quality management systems and processes.
- Advanced computer skills, including CAD software (Solidworks, Draftsight/AutoCAD, Altium Designer), programming and machine learning (C++, Python, LabVIEW, C#), and Microsoft Office Suite (including SharePoint).
- Subsea design experience is favorable but not essential.
We are looking for someone approachable, eager to learn, and able to stay focused and productive with minimal distractions.
