Job Title: Infrastructure Investment Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Investment Analyst to join our team at Caisse De Dépôt Et Placement Du Québec. As an Infrastructure Investment Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the Infrastructure team in achieving its business objectives by advising on transaction execution and helping with post-investment management of CDPQ's assets in Asia Pacific.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Active participation in analyzing investment proposals and developing and reviewing detailed financial models.
  • Providing advice on evaluating potential investments using the appropriate methodology.
  • Conducting an initial detailed verification of investment possibilities and leading the drafting of authorization documents for new investment possibilities.
  • Supporting main collaborators with negotiating trade agreements and shareholding structures.
  • Contributing to the development of the Infrastructure team and its portfolio companies' business plans and strategies.
  • Proactively monitoring financial and operational indicators, as well as financial reports of portfolio companies.
  • Contributing to the portfolio's value added by publishing recommendations on key industry trends and strategic issues of portfolio companies.
  • Preparing internal and external reports on portfolio companies and taking part in portfolio companies' Boards of Directors as an observer.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics or accounting.
  • Master's in Finance, MBA or CFA would be considered an asset.
  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience in investing / corporate finance / investment banking, in the infrastructure and project finance industries.
  • Solid experience in financial analysis and modelling.
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office and financial market tools (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, etc.).
  • Australian Citizen or PR preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written), knowledge of French a plus.
