About the Role

This position entails both the coordination of field placements for community service and the delivery of exceptional trainer and assessor experiences at Acknowledge Education. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that students are academically and practically prepared for their placements. This role requires proactive adherence to regulatory frameworks, enhancing student engagement, and ensuring their academic success through effective placement strategies.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide leadership and develop contemporary, relevant materials for fieldwork placements.
  • Oversee the assessment process to ensure alignment with learning outcomes, maintaining the quality and compliance of the program with Acknowledge Education standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in professional development to enhance teaching quality and remain updated with emerging practices.
  • Deliver engaging induction programs for placements and ensure students fulfill the requirements for successful placement experiences.
  • Incorporate feedback from agencies to improve the onboarding process.
  • Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Report incidents to the Course Coordinator or Head of Department, including potential breaches of the Code of Conduct or health and safety risks.

About You

Essential Qualifications:

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Community Services, Welfare Work, Human Services, Social Work, or a related field. Eligibility for membership in relevant professional bodies is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification relevant industry experience, particularly in areas related to proposed teaching.
  • A commitment to undertake at least 20 hours of continued professional development each year.
  • High standards of professional and ethical conduct, resilience, and a collaborative approach to both teaching and industry engagement.
  • A solid understanding of theory and practice in the relevant discipline.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in coordinating fieldwork placements and delivering academic programs.
  • Relevant tertiary teaching experience with demonstrated achievements and results.
  • The ability to enhance teaching methods and utilize technology or other innovative strategies for teaching and learning and for engaging students.
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills and the ability to contribute to professional collaborations and academic administration.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in relevant technology and reporting tools.
