About the Role

This is a senior financial leadership role that operates in a matrix reporting structure, with a focus on commercial and financial functions across the WLA/Licensing division. The successful candidate will be a trusted finance business partner to the WLA General Manager and SAE Licensing General Manager, with one direct report.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Modelling and Insights: Provide commercial insights by thoroughly analyzing the financial performance of the business units' product portfolio, identifying potential risks, and highlighting key drivers of revenue and costs.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting, and Corporate Planning: Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecasts preparation, including liaising with the Executive team to understand forecast assumptions and pinpoint areas of risk/opportunity.
  • Strategic Development and Implementation: Contribute to the strategic development and rollout of the BU's initiatives, ensuring they align with the overarching Corporate Plan, and lead the crafting of data-driven strategic insights to enhance decision-making.
Requirements
  • A relevant degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and CA or CPA qualified.
  • Demonstrated experience in senior commercial roles displaying well-developed analytical, decision-making, and influencing skills.
  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience with at least 3 years in a similar role.
  • Commercially aware and financially astute mindset, understanding of how specific drivers impact business performance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability with an ability to work systematically through complex matters and positively influence outcomes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (primarily Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated attention to detail to ensure highly accurate reporting is delivered to key stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Student and customer focus in all dealings with stakeholders.
  • Willingness to engage in and contribute to an organizational culture that fosters personal responsibility, initiative, and a strong commitment to better outcomes.
