To be successful in this role, you will need registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner and 3 years post graduate experience. RACGP - GPT 3 or above (at least 12mths community GP experience) or ACRRM - CGT 2 and above (with either 6/12 primary care OR 6/12 rural and remote practice OR completion of relevant AST). About the RoleThe Primary Health Care Registrar position is based in Cairns and involves providing FIFO services across Far North QLD (including Cape York communities). You will have a combination of day clinic and overnight clinic rosters and may work part-time or full-time. You will be responsible for providing clinical care to patients, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide general practice services, including history taking, examination, decision making, diagnostics ordering and interpretation, clinical procedures, specialist referrals or secondary care admissions
- Provide clinical care of an acute or emergent patient, pending the attendance of retrieval services
- Collaborate and liaise with other care providers to ensure an integrated approach to patient care
- Participate in quality improvement activities (clinical audits and case reviews)
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner
- 3 years post graduate experience
