Legal Advisor Position

This is a fixed-term role providing parental leave cover with an opportunity for experienced lawyers to develop their career in medical defence law.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality legal advice and services in respect of a broad range of medical defence matters
  • Provide general medico-legal advice to members and claims managers
  • Apart on behalf of medical practitioners before various tribunals
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Eligible to hold an unsupervised practising certificate as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court and the High Court of Australia
  • Post-admission experience in private practice ideally 2-4 years PQE in medical negligence professional conduct related litigation experience preferred
