Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Procurement Specialist to join our team in the General Goods and Services Category. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing procurement, contract management, travel administration, and general customer support to schools and business units throughout the state.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality procurement advice and services to clients.
  • Assist in creating and administering profiles within the departments travel management system.
  • Support the management of initiatives across various departmental contacts, standing offer arrangements, and pre-qualified panels.
  • Review inbound enquiries and ensure necessary information is collected prior to allocation to a procurement delegate.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to adapt written and verbal communication relevant to the client or stakeholder.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to use initiative to find solutions.
  • Competency in managing competing priorities within tight timelines.
  • Ability to provide support and advice on purchasing and procurement topics.
  • Positive team member with ability to contribute to shared objectives and initiatives.

About the Role

This role requires flexibility and good time management skills. You will report directly to the Manager, General Goods and Services and will be responsible for a wide range of procurement, travel administration, and contract management functions.
