We are a 160-year-old manufacturer now part of the world's largest flooring manufacturer and a Fortune 500 listed company.

A great opportunity exists for an experienced and driven Financial Accountant to deliver high quality general accounting services.

The Role

You will be responsible for preparing monthly financial and management account reports, performing financial accounting services including journal processing, balance sheet reconciliations, management reporting and tax support as required.

You'll investigate and resolve issues and seek to implement processes and internal controls to prevent their reoccurrence.

In addition, you will assist in the preparation of statutory accounts, BAS, tax and FBT, and monthly reporting. You will provide insight through your analysis regarding business performance to assist leadership teams in decision making.

Furthermore, you will provide support for internal and external audits.

This role requires full-time on-site attendance at our office.

The Person

To be successful in this role, you will have a bachelor's degree in accounting with 3 to 5 years post qualification experience in a similar financial accounting role.

You will possess high level numeracy and reconciliation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy and have a positive and proactive approach, with experience in meeting tight end of month deadlines for key deliverables.

You must have exceptional Excel skills and be a current user of an ERP system with experience in SAP or JD Edwards being particularly valued.

Above all, you'll need excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to make recommendations and provide advice to various managers and stakeholders.
