We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2025.
The College is seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable Officer to join our collaborative and effective finance team that supports the financial operations of both our Wantirna South and Narre Warren South campuses, commencing early May 2025.
In this role, your expertise, organisation skills, and ability to be detail-oriented will contribute to smooth financial operations, overseeing all aspects of our accounts receivable and debtor management processes. We are seeking a candidate who can proficiently handle invoicing, billing, and payment processing, while maintaining accurate records for student accounts. You'll also work with external agencies to manage debt collections and ensure timely resolution of payment issues, all while supporting the broader finance team with monthly reporting and financial analysis.
The ideal candidate will have strong numerical and reconciliation skills, with proven experience in accounts receivable management, ideally within the education sector. You are an ideal candidate if you:
- Hold relevant qualifications or industry experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance.
- Have proven experience in high-volume accounts receivable or debtor management, ideally in the education sector (highly regarded).
- Possess strong numerical skills and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to perform accurate financial reconciliations.
- Are proficient in Microsoft Excel and have experience working with financial spreadsheets.
- Can effectively manage high-volume accounts, process payments, and maintain accurate records.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Are proactive, organised, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
- Have experience using Synergetic or similar financial management systems (highly regarded).
- Are able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education.
- Are willing to get involved in all aspects of the College's programs and opportunities.
