Senior Aquatic Resources Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Aquatic Resources Manager to lead our team in the management of aquatic resources. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing complex aquatic resources, including fisheries, aquaculture, and marine protected areas. They will be able to develop and implement effective strategies for the sustainable use of these resources, while also ensuring the protection of biodiversity and the health of ecosystems.

This role involves working closely with government agencies, industry partners, and community groups to achieve shared goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for the sustainable use of aquatic resources.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of a team of professionals responsible for the conservation and management of aquatic resources.
  • Work collaboratively with government agencies, industry partners, and community groups to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Provide advice and guidance on aquatic resource management issues to senior executives and other stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, ecology, or biology.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in aquatic resource management, including experience in policy development, program implementation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven track record of success in managing complex projects and programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
