The Operational Services Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional services across multiple Defence bases in the Northern Territory. This position requires an individual with strong leadership skills, experience in managing large teams, and a deep understanding of financial management.
The primary objective of this role is to drive operational excellence, partner with internal and external stakeholders, and deliver successful outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in hospitality and facilities management, with a passion for engaging people and promoting a culture of safety.
The Operational Services Manager will be responsible for building and leading a capable team, effectively managing client stakeholder relationships at all levels, and implementing improvements and efficiencies in day-to-day operations.
Key Skills and Qualifications- Experience in managing and driving successful outcomes in a large team
- Strong understanding of financial management and P&L's
- Demonstrated operational experience with a focus on customer relationship management and contract management
- Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and deal with sensitive issues in a respectful manner
- Well-developed computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
