English Faculty Leader

Job Description:

The English Faculty Leader will oversee the entire English faculty, developing a collaborative team environment that fosters effective communication and drives student success. This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled and dedicated educator to take on a leadership role at our institution.

This position requires an individual with excellent teaching and leadership skills, as well as a strong passion for pedagogy and student development. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of educators in creating engaging lesson plans and activities that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.

A key aspect of this role is to establish and maintain relationships with colleagues across various departments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration in delivering high-quality educational programs.

In addition to their leadership responsibilities, the English Faculty Leader will also be involved in curriculum development, academic program planning, and assessment design.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in teaching and English
  • Registered to teach in South Australia or eligible to obtain registration
  • Understanding of and commitment to Christian education
  • Desire and skills to participate in pastoral care and co-curricular programs
  • Passion for understanding how learning occurs and teaching pedagogies suitable for middle school students
