Job Title: Portfolio Controls Specialist – Project Budgeting

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Portfolio Controls Specialist – Project Budgeting. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to make a meaningful contribution to our organization's success.

About the Role

This role is responsible for developing and implementing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes for our Digital Solutions Group portfolio, program, and project. The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of systems, processes, and procedures to ensure quality information is available to plan and manage the portfolio's finances.

  • Coordinate the development of monthly forecasts with program and project managers
  • Consolidate forecasts and report on monthly budget versus forecast (actuals and estimate to complete cost)
  • Perform variance analysis (actuals for the month against forecast done in previous month)
  • Review procurement items (POs, accruals, etc.) to ensure forecasts represent an accurate position
  • Collaborate with finance to ensure accounting transactions are correctly executed (resource cost charges to projects, recoveries completed, etc.)
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent skills, knowledge, and experience
  • Significant experience in providing a range of project financial support services across a diverse range of high-project projects
Desirable Skills
  • Demonstrated experience with resource management (cost) and cost planning in Projects Online (Microsoft Projects)
  • Previous Project Accounting background
