Project Engineer Job Summary

A Project Engineer is required to lead engineering, planning, and coordination efforts from contract award through to project delivery and on-site installation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Plan and execute work activities to achieve project plans, work scopes, and objectives.
  • Technical Advice: Provide technical guidance to personnel regarding design, fabrication, construction, and installation, maintenance, and integrity of piping systems and infrastructure.
  • Tender and Contract Management: Compile technical information and drawings for work packs, develop material specifications with an understanding of material grades and schedules, and manage procurement activities and subcontractors within project specifications.
  • Reporting and Forecasting: Prepare project reporting, forecasting, and costing as required.
  • Project Close-Out: Conduct project close-out activities including punch listing and deliverables compilation as required.

Requirements
  • Experience: 3 years experience in a multi-disciplinary project team in the energy/oil & gas sector.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of engineering activities related to offshore project lifecycles, including FEED, decommissioning, fabrication, welding, and engineering principles.
  • Skill: Competency in Microsoft Excel & Project required, Primavera P6 – desirable, and knowledge of quality assurance and quality control processes.
  • Education: Tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline (mechanical engineering).
