Heavy vehicle technicians are sought after by Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV) Prestons. The company specializes in vehicle distribution centers for leading brands, providing sales, service, and parts for Volvo Group vehicles.

Your Future Team

This role will be based at our dealership in Prestons, part of the wider Volvo Group Australia umbrella. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the team comprises 60 workshop staff members with diverse roles including Mechanics, Auto-Electricians, Apprentices, Parts Interpreters, Service Advisors, and Costing Clerks.

The VCV Blacktown dealership prides itself on an inclusive and stable work environment. As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative transport brands, performing servicing and maintenance on trucks and buses in line with Volvo Group standards.

Responsibilities
  • Steering and suspension repairs
  • Electrical faults diagnosis and repairs
  • Braking systems diagnosis and repairs
  • Component overhauls
  • Driveline repairs
  • Preventative maintenance services and repairs
  • On-site and breakdown repairs
Required Qualifications

In this role, you will bring:

  • A Heavy Vehicle mechanical qualification
  • Experience working with European truck or bus brands is highly regarded
  • Some exposure to light auto-electrical work
  • A proactive attitude with a drive to work efficiently
  • A positive safety attitude with a team-focused mindset
