Job Overview

The position of Business Development Finance Specialist is an exciting opportunity to join a team that leads commercial projects and engagements, optimizes relationships with listed providers, and ensures successful levying and collection of infrastructure contributions.

About the Role

  • Support business operations to levy and collect infrastructure contributions from the development industry by analyzing financial data and providing expert advice on financial matters.
  • Lead and deliver initiatives to enhance stakeholder experience, drive operational efficiency, and proactively manage business risks by identifying potential issues and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Develop, implement and maintain infrastructure contributions documents and systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance across all stages of the development application process, including the Sydney Water Act and IPART Determination, by staying up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. urban planning, finance, engineering, business or related discipline) or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience in working within a development servicing / infrastructure planning environment with an understanding of urban development and connection processes is essential.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate across various levels, are necessary.
  • Understanding of risk assessments and their application to process is also required.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes, are essential.
