Senior Operations Leader Job

This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing operations at the Banyo Pilot Plant Precinct. The Senior Operations Leader provides technical expertise and leadership to establish and operate pilot scale research facilities in civil engineering, bioprocessing, and energy storage.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical expertise to manage and deploy appropriate resources.
  • Ensuring the delivery of transformative research through effective management and deployment of resources.
  • Designing and implementing effective systems and processes.
  • Providing leadership in planning future capabilities aligned with QUT's research priorities.

The successful candidate will have extensive relevant experience in translational research facilities, research engineering, bioprocessing, and/or energy storage research. They will also demonstrate the ability to build, lead, and manage a high-performing team and coordinate complex activities within a resource-constrained environment.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Postgraduate qualifications or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing work health and safety.
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures associated with establishing research projects.
