We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Community Support Worker.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals living with mental illness. As a Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting customers to live the life they choose.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored person-centered services and activities that meet the diverse needs of customers.
- Work collaboratively with customers to promote independence, self-esteem, and overall well-being.
- Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with customers, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support.
- Contribute to the development of person-centered plans and implement strategies to achieve desired outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Mental Health or relevant qualifications.
- Relevant experience in mental health community support.
- NDIS experience.
- A proven capacity to handle complex situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Strong commitment to working with people experiencing mental illness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to be adaptable and flexible in a dynamic environment.
- Understanding of the person-centred approach.
- Confidentiality and diversity awareness.
- Safety first approach for yourself and the customer.
- Highly developed administrative skills (Microsoft packages, word processing, email, and internet).
