Metering Professional

We are seeking an individual to join our team as a reader in Warrnambool and the surrounding area.

This position involves walking an allocated neighbourhood taking and recording utility meter readings. No prior experience is required, with all necessary training and personal protective equipment (PPE) supplied. An immediate start is available.

• Accurately reading allocated meter routes in a timely, efficient and safe manner is essential.
• The successful candidate will uphold our safety standards and represent our organisation professionally in public.
• The ability to work independently, yet collaboratively with other members of the team, is required.
• Regular communication with our office support team is also necessary.
• Uploading and downloading route information to/from a hand-held device is a critical part of this role.

• A current valid driver's licence is mandatory.
• A reliable motor vehicle and mobile phone are also required.
• The ability to learn quickly and work independently is essential.
• The successful candidate must be able to undertake plenty of walking, bending and squatting.
• Working in most weather conditions is also a requirement.
• A 30-38 hour work week, Monday to Friday, is standard.
• Daily travel of up to or more than 45 minutes each way may be required.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic and good attention to detail are necessary.
