AppBank Systems Associate

As an associate in AppBank, you will be part of the production management team supporting the firm's systems and technologies. This role involves analyzing and resolving application issues collaboratively, identifying defects and trends via log analysis and debugging, managing incidents, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and 5+ years of software development experience. They should have knowledge of data structures and problem-solving in production environments, as well as strong communication skills for technical and stakeholder interactions.
Proficiency in Java, C, C++, VB, .NET, ASP, or Angular is required, along with experience with RDBMS like Oracle, DB2, or Sybase ASE/IQ.
Nice to have: experience in financial services, knowledge of cluster computing and big data (Spark, Hadoop, HDFS, XRS), and a degree in computer science.
- Analyze and resolve application issues collaboratively
- Identify defects and trends via log analysis and debugging
- Manage incidents and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Enhance application stability and performance
- Utilize tools to automate failure detection and health restoration
- Identify opportunities for automation and collaborate on implementation
- Challenge and improve existing application processes
- Participate in change management to mitigate risks
- Create and update run books for operational efficiency
- Develop reports to monitor application health and performance
- Learn and support proprietary technologies as needed
