Job Title: Investment Banking Associate

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to participate in the origination and execution of M&A and debt financing mandates. As a key member of the deal team, you will contribute to day-to-day M&A execution processes, including financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, and industry analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the origination and execution of M&A and debt financing mandates with a focus on Consumer, Retail, Healthcare, and General Industrials sectors
  • Deal team member contributing to day-to-day M&A execution processes, including in-depth financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, and industry analysis
  • Prepare high-quality marketing presentations and industry analysis
  • Attend client meetings, including execution and pitches
  • Support senior banker account coverage and idea generation
  • Train and mentor juniors (interns, graduates, analysts) to support the development of best-in-class investment banking skill-sets
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the business, including other IB sector teams, global colleagues, corporate bank, and DCM to drive delivery of Deutsche Bank's broad global platform
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience in Investment Banking (M&A) ideally within GI or CRH, but other sector experience may be considered
  • Outstanding academic achievement
  • Strong financial modeling skills and commercial acumen are critical
  • Detail-oriented with strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Highly motivated and self-driven with ability to multitask
  • Ability to take initiative with strong critical thinking skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
